When i sign in to SL Dashboard, do I show as online to those inworld

I was just wondering that when I sign into the SL Dashboard....such as now to ask this question...do I show as Online to those who are inworld?

And the list that I see on the SL Dashboard of those Online....does that mean they are in-world or are they also just signed into the SL Dashboard?

Your dashboard is not linked to you being in-world - only your friends.  So no, when you log-in to dash you are not registered as being in-world.

Adding to Storm's excellent answer, the names of your friends appear in 3 different colors on your dashboard:

black: they are online, logged in SL

grey: they are offline, out of SL

green: they are online in SL and have allowed you to localize them on the world map, therefore if you click their name, you can launch the viewer and join them at the location were they are currently logged.
