Ok, not saying anything is wrong with phoenix/firestorm, they are much loved, but they are by the same developers, I mean, have you tried a different viewer? I have never heard or seen this one before, the worst one i had was when suddenly for no apparent reason my head got stuck up my own butt lol, That one went on for a few weeks then just resolved itself. LolitaFrance Anthony Posted April 27, 2012 Share Posted April 27, 2012 I was having a problem like that except with my mouth, it was really angular and extremely misshapen. I eventually found another viewer (Can't remember which one.), and the problem went away. Now it's back, not as bad as before but it still looks weird. I tried everything under the sun to fix it or cover it up, nothing has. I'm forced into using an animal avatar, with a head that replaces my human looking head. Domitan Redenblack Posted April 27, 2012 Author Share Posted April 27, 2012 I went into an alt, and copied down the Nose parameters from Appearance settings. As I thought, the Nose Tip Angle is the culprit, with mesh cratered into the face when the nose tip is angled to normal human non-piggy position. I am willing to look a bit more piggy, with smaller nostrils etc and some other mods. Now the cratering is only half as bad as before, but still shows the LL body model design flaws. When you edit your Shape > Nose > Nose Tip Angle, adjust this a lot and watch the results on your face closely. With a "normal" nose which is not tipped way-up-piggy-snout, you see the sides of the nostrils crater back into the face when the nose is tipped down. TamayokeNoGarimi Posted December 19, 2012 Share Posted December 19, 2012 As mentioned earlier - the system almost punishes you for making a "roman" or Northern EU shaped nose with down tips or arching bridges. Had any workaround been discovered since this thread was active? A skin mesh kit with some typical "non standard" nose shapes? I have SL viewer as well as Firestorm. For me it was easy since my nose is chatita, but if I want my dance partner.. he will want his character to look like him. I modified one of the starter avatars that had as close as one could come, but as soon as I elongated the face the nose became a nightmare. Hard to create an average size person between 5'7 and 5'10 with most skins as well.... lol. 6ft + leading men are no longer the norm... are any popular leads even 6ft anymore? >_< Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...
