how can i change my age?

i entered the wrong age when i entered in. i am really 19 years old, but of course me being stupid, i clicked the wrong date without realising. How can i fix this?

You will need to open a support ticket and probably be required to send documented proof of your age.

contact support if there's a mistake and you "forgot" to enter your real age, if this is the case, good luck, you need to prove now you are the official accountholder.

It's hard to believe that anyone doesn't know his own birthday, so be prepared for Linden Lab to be very skeptical.  File a support ticket at https://support.secondlife.com/create-case/.  Use the menu option Account Issue >> Account creation Issues. Expect LL to request photocopies of official documents with your real birthdate on them.

lol that might work. I was thinking more like "My family uses the Hijri calendar and when I tried to convert my birthday to Gregorian, I used the Chinese calendar conversion instead..........I give them points for one like that

Please understand our skepticism.  What most people with this complaint really mean is, "I'm under 18 and I entered my RIGHT age.  Now I want to lie about it so I can get into Adult areas."

What when you do put your real age and it restricts where you go, which is fine but when you are over 18 SL doesn't update and allow you to change your preferences.

Being over 18 isn't sufficient to allow access to A rated venues and content. You must also make that selection in a few other places. KarenMichelle Lane covers that here...

So simply submit a support case and ask for your status to be updated.  Linden Lab may ask you to provide a photocopy of some document to prove your age, but wait for them to tell you that.  That's one of the few times that they do sometimes ask for age verification.

As others have told you, you cannot change your age.  Except, of course, the traditional way, one day at a time.

If you are under 13, you should not be using Second Life at all.  Not even if Mom and Dad say it's OK.  If you are caught, the computer you are using will be permanently blocked from ever using Second Life again.

If you are 13-15, you may only use Second Life under the direct supervision of a sponsoring group, such as a church or school youth group, or a Scout group, and you will be limited to a virtual area assigned to that group.

If you are 16-17, you may register your own Second Life account and use Second Life, but you are limited to regions and content with a General maturity rating.

If you are 18 or older, you may use all of Second Life.

If you entered the wrong birth date when you registered (pretty hard to believe you don't know your own birthday, though), you can go to https://support.secondlife.com/create-case/ and ask for your birth date to be corrected.  Linden Lab will require you to submit some positive proof of your real birthday, such as a copy of your birth certificate or drivers license.
