"finally a horror writer on the show today [well we had daniel kraus last year but this is 2021 after all]: alan baxter, coming to us from australia. what a craftsman, what an inspiration. since i spent my youth with conan and horror, i abandoned the genre for a while to catch up with thomas mann, heinrich böll and friedrich dürrenmatt, if you know what i mean … but alan brought me back!" "STÖMOL was released on 23 July 2020 in a private inworld premiere, with the Linden public showing taking place the next day – one year ago exactly. How to celebrate this? I don’t think we’re at the Director’s Commentary edition just yet; to tide you over until the moment that becomes something that doesn’t cause eyes to roll (I reckon the five year anniversary for that), I’m releasing today publicly a few scenes that never made it into the final movie (yes, these have been previously available, but only if you did Complicated Things With Secret Hidden Stuff)." "Hey Mainlanders! It’s Feorie Frimon and I’m back today with another PODscast to start our journey through the old Teen Second Life grid. Enjoy a little bit of ‘Christmas in July’ as we start off in a beautiful Winterwonderland, take off in a hot air balloon ride, and finish off in a Dutch inspired series of regions with lush evergreens and winding roads." "An exciting collaboration is coming to SLEA from our friends at Seanchai Library. For those of you who may not have heard about this well respected SL anchor organization, it is one of Second Life’s longest running spoken word programs – dedicated to sharing stories of all kinds through live presentations. Seanchai has been bringing the art of telling stories to life in Second Life (and other virtual worlds) since 2008." Read more on the blog.

"Currently open within the region of Akimitsu, held and curated by Akiko Kinoshi (Akiko Kiyori) and forming a part of her “Akipelago” group of regions, is The Borderless Project, a multi-element, immersive exhibition that brings together a number Second Life artists known for their work in 3D spaces, and / or in using light, sound and immersion to create engaging and interactive spaces." "Ancient European empires have always been a personal favorite of mine, and I often find myself in Persian, Roman and Greek-themed role-play regions. I am continually amazed at how much detail and effort builders put into their role-play regions, and if you are history buff, Second Life® may be the right place for you. The public is welcome to visit and experience what is like to live as a Roman soldier, a Greek goddess or the merchant selling produce in the town’s market." Read more on the blog.

"Today’s therapy session takes us to Krak Bak Caye at The Sim Quarterly. You haven’t got much time left to emerge yourself in the sights and sounds of this tropical installation by creator Elizabeth Jewell, inspired by the beautiful island of Belize. On July the 25th it will be going *poof*, as that is the nature of all installations at The Sim Quarterly." Read more on the blog.

"My first interview of the second series was with a resident I wanted to meet for months: Dirk, the SL Hotel Inspector. He runs SL’s only hotel reviews website and I guess that claim is justified. You can read on his website that the pandemic had forced him to visit virtual hotels, because travelling in RL was no option for long time. I loved his blogs and became a real fan. So I was excited to learn from him what his ideal home is and... what would be his dearest passion?" Read more on the blog.
