Charge Syndrome is proud to present the amazing electronic and eclectic musical stylings of Spanish musician and composer, Bsukmet Imnali, performing live on Saturday, September 25th at 11 am SLT. Bsukmet’s performances have been described as “one of the most inspiring moments I have ever experienced in my 10 years in Second Life." Truly jaw-dropping in its brilliance. To compliment this live music event, artist, musician, and creator extraordinaire Suzen Juel will DJ following beginning at noon SLT.

SL Renaissance Festival

The 2nd annual SL Renaissance Festival features merchants, minstrels and entertainment, melees and jousts, and other activities in a 15th-century build. Residents will be invited to take part in role-play, jousts, archery, and more. Some Lindens are also being sent to the pillory! The Horse Show Shopping Event

The Horse Show's second annual event will feature new creations for Teegle horses, Jinx centaurs, and for general equestrian life! Featuring everything you need for your ideal equestrian lifestyle in Second Life, including equestrian wear, barn, and stable decor, as well as skins and accessories for your animesh Teeglepet horses, Teegle bento horse avatars, and JINX Centaur! The event will introduce two highly anticipated new Teegle horses; the Tennessee Walking Horse and American Saddlebred Horse. There will be live performances by members of the equestrian community at the event arena, as well as a One Of A Kind auction! The event runs from September 18th to October 2nd, 2021!

Le Chateau Motel - Back to the 80s

Le Chateau Motel is a 80s/90s themed hang-out located on the mainland near the Blake Seas with easy access to the Second Life roads. This place was built by a team of friends with the idea to share their passion for vacationing in a crazy, cheesy, and kitschy environment. You may find a camping site with a beach and with private residences. There is an "80s vacation" dress code in the camping are. Please respect the privacy and tranquility, along with the dress code, when you are on the camping site. These rules apply as soon as you pass the camping gate.

The Mountain

Sail, or fly into the area from the Blake Sea and view The Mountain. It takes 4 regions to complete the ski runs and it towers above the water’s edge. Last month we made a few updates to the Destinations Floater in the viewer. In an effort to make it more newcomer friendly, we’ve made a few updates to our policy which pertains specifically to those listings that are chosen for Editors’ Picks and the Floater in the viewer. You can see all of the updates on the “About the Second Life Destination Guide” page.

If you find any listings in the Destinations floater that are not newcomer friendly, please do drop us a line at editor@lindenlab.com and let us know. We are trying our best to check it every few weeks. We also encourage those that do get chosen to be featured in Editors’ Picks or the floater to please let us know, via email, if they decide to change their region's settings. 

Do keep in mind that the only category we are not able to maintain, change or update is the “What’s Hot Now” category. That category is automatic and randomly showcases any of the entries on the Destination Guide that currently have 20 to 30 avatars in it. 

The rest of the categories in the floater, and Editors’ Picks, are the only two places we are trying to maintain a stricter policy, so please do visit the web version of the Destination Guide as there are many more beautiful regions to explore. This week we added over 60, check them all out in the Recently Added category, which is rotated weekly with all the latest listings.

The Peale Founder's Day Celebration

Visit The Peale Museum island on Sunday, August 15th at 3pm SLT/Pacific for a screening of the Founder's Day event to celebrate the 1 year birthday of the Peale in Second Life, and the 207th birthday of the physical Peale, located in Baltimore, Maryland. This live broadcast will be "projected" into the courtyard of the Virtual Peale, providing a portal into the physical Peale. Meet RL artists, staff, and partners from the Peale, and see the progress of the ongoing restoration of the oldest museum building in America, established in 1814 by artist Rembrandt Peale. The hour-long event will also feature a musical performance by Scott Patterson for the Proximity Project, a history and demonstration of silhouette cutting with Lauren Muney, and a look back at Out Of The Blocks with Aaron Henkin.

Second Pride Festival 2021 runs this year from June 4th to June 13th. Lupus Awareness Fashion Showcase and Fair is an annual event hosted by the sorors of Sigma Upsilon Nu, SL Sorority, and The Red Door Models. As they did in their inaugural year in 2010, they begin May 1st with their annual Lupus Walk that opens the Lupus Fair that will last the full month of May. Hammifari - Zoo-Palooza 2

The Bellisseria Animal Sanctuary returns for their second annual zoo at the Bellisseria Fairgrounds this spring! You may find a camping site with a beach and with private residences. There is an "80s vacation" dress code in the camping are. Please respect the privacy and tranquility, along with the dress code, when you are on the camping site. These rules apply as soon as you pass the camping gate.

Established by Lux Chiantelle in 2012, the gallery and hangout known as Suntory Time has an instant following among cult art worshipers and fine art followers alike. The space is fun and easy to relax in, whether you are alone or with a group. But most importantly the art is incredible. Lux has worked diligently contacting the artists for permission to use their work, and in most cases provide free copies to residents for their own collections. Alone or with friends, Suntory will always welcome you. Now located at the GBTH project region.

DISTANCE by Mich Michabo

Over the course of 2020 and 2021, Mich's photography approaches a familiarity to a world emptied by COVID. The audience will explore how her Second Life relationships and connections began to mirror those of reality and the different ways she explored the self in a time of isolation and uncertainty. DISTANCE is being displayed at the 2D gallery located in the GBTH project's region.
