Merci, Pierre. It must have been maintenance or something. It is ok now. I am.new and perhaps I just didn't know about scheduled maintenance. I see they were doing some between 3:00 and 9:00 and I am in the same time zone. Also, isn't "region" the word for the part of the mainland that has my parcel? My parcel is in Qudark. I'm sure I said that. There are other places in Qudark. I landmarked them. When I could not enter my own parcel I tried the landmarks and they were also inaccessible. I am sorry this is not clearer. As I said I am new and may not k ow what the proper words are. However, I have no idea how to be more clear. I'm in Qudark. They are in Qudark. Is that not called our region?

It's not the OS. I can tell you that much. I have windows 8.1 on my Surface Pro 3 and it runs the standard SL viewer as well as Firestorm with no issues.

In addition to my little home in Qudark, I am unable to access ANY location there. Some places are businesses that I have land marked and some are Sims open to the public. But they are all inaccessible. And it has now been over 4 hours. I'm surprised that there is no other report. Other places are also down, but some are open. I have been waiting in one of these places but I want to go home. Maybe it's because I am a noob and everyone else is used to this.

I'm sorry, you are using Firestorm. In Firestorm the Library folder is at the bottom of the inventory. There is no Me menu in Firestorm, and no Choose an Avatar menu. I use both viewers and will switch between them if I need different functionality.

You certainly can. Under your inventory is something called a Library. In the folder called Clothing there is a folder called Initial Outfits. Locate your starting avatar as a folder. It says "Sara (Mesh)". Drag and drop that folder onto your avatar. Voila, all better. Or you can select "Choose an Avatar" from the Me menu. and you will see her there. Now go to the outfits window (click the button on the left side that looks like a shirt) and then click the Save button at the bottom of that window. Type Sara, or Starting, or whatever you like. Now anytime it goes out of whack you can use the "wear" button to fix it.

Thanks Madeleine but it was an invisible object as the others said. I rezzed a Treehouse from a rezbox and it apparently created the invisible object. It was too big for my little 512m2 parcel so I did it in a sandbox and then took the pieces into inventory. On my parcel I rezzed only a few pieces and didn't like how it was coming out so I deleted them. But if there was this glowing thing, a particle effect, left over that I could not select. It was simply invisible. Thank you everyone. Problem was in this noob's knowledge base and is all better now.

That was it. Ctrl+Alt+T to see invisible, then I could delete it. Thanks!

Thank you for trying to help. Tere are no prims on my land. I have returned all objects, but the particle effects are still there. These suggestions are about adding scripts to a prim to turn them off. But there are no prims. Again, thanks, but searching Google only turned up the same thing you found.

Hi. I hope this is the right place. I searched this question and found no answer. I rezzed something on my land that had a particle effect. When I deleted the object, the particle effect stayed. I returned everything on the parcel to my inventory, but the particle effect is still there. Does anyone know how I can select it and delete it? Thanks
