  1. Where can I learn more about copyright law and practice in Second Life? Are there groups or discussions on the topic somewhere?
  2. What I want to know is whether we can use Eloh Eliot's files as reference to make a new template. I am creating a template with each layer based on a layer in Eloh Eliot's skin, but I am deleting all of her layers. Is this legally fine, or is this still considered her file if I do this? It's basically like tracing.
  3. I think its not a problem because I've decided to do something else anyway. I'll need help from other people but I'll make a separate post so as not to be disobeying LL forum rules.
  4. Also, can we use the templates and derivative exports/copies as references in work made without using Eloh images? For example, using the image in the background (like the texture body maps) then deleting them before exporting the final work? Or, can we apply filters to the work, then delete the original template, and use the images created by the filter?
  5. Can we upload skins made with these templates now that the TOS has been revised?
  6. I believe someone has made a mistake in a communication to me and I would like to have the mistake corrected. Should I purchase a premium account and ask support for a resolution?
  7. Well, I can't really feel comfortable making a profit in Second Life because of the legal language used. It seems hostile and unfriendly, so I am assuming that Second Life content creation (and maybe art and creative fields) are not good niches to really get into. I like making the skins I've been working on and would like company and collaboration, I just don't want to deal with the legal issues.
  8. Looking for someone who makes custom skins and does not use textures from the Marketplace
  9. I'm wondering if there are any content creators whom I can friend (befriend) in Second Life who like to make skins.
  10. I guess it's technically not false advertising because the skin in the picture is the same as the one being sold. However, it is suspicious and I agree, it is not a pleasant experience. I think the skins from KOOQLA are good for male shapes.
  11. Are these skin templates legit? Is it legal and OK for Second Life users to use these templates? See: https://sites.google.com/site/another/resources
