I went on domino designs and attempted to download the avatar.blend file and I couldn't since it's not compatiable with Mac computers. Is there an alternative way? Or should I just stick to creating mesh on a pc?

Can someone give a quick overview and or reccomendations on how to go about doing this in order? I've created clothing by following this video http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=-N8IZ5G83gY&list=UUbWshUVJN3v7sGVoc5sTpPg&index=9 and sized them using this http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Nuubb5C64Ck .

I'm having trouble uploading my custom shape to blender with my mac to create mesh clothing, since dominodesigns and all of the other templates are for windows :(. Please help with alternatives. I heard something about avastar. HELP!
