And what is a dae file? Is it readable by SL or photoshop, or? Because I want to take a free full perm mesh and make a design on it. How would I get the UV maps and alphas for that particular mesh? I wouldn't know where to begin I don't think. I can texturize and everything, but meshes are all new to me.

Is there any way I can mesh someone else's mesh that allows it to be edited? If so, how?

Hello, I have finally just got back into SL and I honestly don't know where to begin when it comes to clothing creations. I'd really love to enhance my skills and try and showcase them here, because I love skinning and such. I need to know where to begin, not only in game, but also in Photoshop. I remember back when I played I had a 3D model in Photoshop that when I drew on the layer it updated on the model, and I can't seem to find those files online anywhere yet. Lastly I know what clothing I want to make first as an attempt, but I am not sure if I need a mesh that is close to what I want or do I just like "draw on the avatar"? I don't want a flat dress. Thanks if anyone can help with a point on where to begin. I hope to make some nice creations.

Kind of didn't really answer my question fully. Where is a good place to place my magic boxes? Unless I missed some reccomended places. I don't own land.

OK so I made my first few items and I have no idea where to start to place them on land to put them into a box to sell them on the marketplace. I have seen storage places and everything, but is there anywhere cheap anyone reccomends? I'd like to make money off my creations, not break even with the money I spend storing them.

Oh OK thanks! Now to figure how to actually put the object on like clothes... O_O Since the tutorial I had was old it just uploaded my shirt as an image, not a shirt? LOL

OK I chose Aditi from the drop down menu, now do I login like normal? Then go to upload image to see a better view of my item free? edit: logged into the game on aditi. so do i go to Build>Upload>Upload Image? Or something new to view it free?

Whats Aditi and how do I use it? Is there a guide?

I'm new to making stuff. And I looked up a guide and everything, I am currently viewing my clothing on a model, but not yet uploaded because can't see the neckline or a top view of the clothing to see if it lines up above the shoulders. Is it possible to view there? I am new to this so could you explain? :) Thanks! <3
