  1. We may be re-organizing the VE-Soccer system. We would need someone to keep a newsletter up to date, compile statistics, schedule matches, oversee players and referees, market SL soccer to SecondLife, organize tournaments etc.
  2. To see match between 2 good teams click: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=t1cQ8JKG9qE&feature=related or go to YouTube and search: Juventus SL - AC Milan 6:4 Lots of fun, I have played over 600 matches in 5 years and probably a similar number of pickup games.

  4. I play soccer in SecondLife because it is the funnest thing to do that I have found. I have played over 600 team matchs in 5 years. This is from a post I made in SecondFootball.com forum; What like about SecondFootball « on: August 25, 2012, 01:02:22 am » It’s the funnest thing to DO in SecondLife. Most SL places are passive, all you do is look or listen or chat. For me SecondFootball is a nice break from work, I am self-employed and can take as long a break as I want, sometimes I can even play while working. The controls are simple; New players can play immediately. The gameplay is reasonably realistic, more so than any other game I’ve seen in SL. The controls are simple; But playing at top level requires a lot of practice and experience. The difference between a top player and regular or newer players is measured in hundredths of a second, good players will make the correct move without the slightest hesitation or error in movement and make perfect passes quickly. New players have to think about what they are doing, experienced players make lighting fast decisions without thinking. Sometimes in RL I have someone looking over my shoulder and have to explain when I make a really good play because they cannot see what happened or didn’t happen, like getting out of the way of my team mate with the ball or keeping an eye on the striker trying to sneak behind me and being in a position to stop him. Teamwork; The best teams do not necessarily have the best players but they work so well together in passing attacks that they are very difficult to stop, every player does exactly what he is supposed to do, like musicians playing a song together, if one player messes up you get noise and chaos instead of music. I think that is one reason why football is called “The Beautiful Sport”. For me, as a defender, the only thing better than a perfect passing attack is messing it up.
