  1. Thank you all again for your all your help with those crazy things!
  2. Dang it! After the region restart this morning, they were back to their original position next to the front door! So, I edited them, and clicked "temporary" in the menu, and in 30 seconds they were gone. They just did NOT want to go away!
  3. Qie! OMG That must have been YOU when I rezzed in! LMAO! I figured that out just now too! When I thought I was grabbing the patio floor (under the grass prim) every time, I was actually grabbing the stupid weed prim! So, I moved that prim under the deck and out of the entrance to the club. Yes, it was named 'Object' Stuff like that drives me absolutely crazy! I KNOW I can fix it, but thinking I couldn't was infuriating! Thank you so much for all the help, Sir! FINALLY...this problem is SOLVED!
  4. OK, this morning, I had a brainstorm...what if I derendered the two ground prims, and turned off the surface patch? Then I could get right to the bottom of them and not be obscured by them?! So, I tried THAT. And still, no luck. I just kept getting the ground prims again. So, that didn't work.
  5. I saw that rod also, Aethlwine. It's part of the doorway. There are two large prims one of grass cover, the other of tiles that are sitting right on top of the ground and every time I try to select one of them I just grab the tile prim. And thank you for the compliment on the club! We've been there for over 6 years now!
  6. Thanks for that idea, Qie! The ones I can't grab are Grass - Tall 1. I rezzed them on my own parcel to make sure. And I was able to easily delete them. At the club though...not!
  7. Unfortunately, none of these suggestions have worked. I still can't select ANY of them and they do not show up in Area Search. Unless they are not named "weeds" or "grass"
  8. Some of the crazy Linden Weeds have appeared at our club entrance and none of us can grab them to get rid of them (of course)! They do not show up when you turn on alpha (ctrl - Alt - T), so there's no way to try to delete them that way either! I've had them show up on one my parcels some time back, and I had to grab them (if I remember correctly) just under the ground. This is not working now, however. Anybody have ANY suggestions on how to delete these ugly things, because all of us are frustrated with the whole affair! Thank you if you can help! 9. Yes! The full sim size megas! I forgot about those too! Good memories!
  10. Please do, Miss Emma! Loved your post!
  11. No, no, Tarina! You are welcome to reply! 😁 And I'm happy you did! OMG, I forgot about the torches!
  12. my avatar was born in SL. I got to type in my first name, and then choose from a list of last names, to complete my avatar name. I chose Hancroft, because it was a "normal" sounding last name. Back then, once rezzed, new residents found themselves on Orientation Island. There were stations they would go to, to learn how to fly, how to change clothes, and other main functions they would use inworld. The largest size prim one could create was 10m X 10m. There were megaprims a person could get at "Builders Brewery" (or websites devoted to delivering mega's to avatars inworld) that were larger than the maximum prim size, some over 100M, but if one tried to edit the size on those megaprims, they would automatically revert to the 10X10's. There was no such thing as mesh. Clothes were layers on our avatars bodies, not attachments, though most did have sculpted prims that were included to complete the outfit. (collars, skirts, etc) There were voting stands one could click at venues to vote it up in the rankings. There were poseballs on every piece of furniture. Sometimes we couldn't log in and would get the "Monkey's are working on things" notice. I had several plots of land on Weta Island in the Irukandji Continent, which was over 50 sims large. I miss Irukandji a LOT. Now, I look around SL, and everything looks so good! Our avatars are orders of magnitude better! Buildings are much better! Mesh is much more realistic! Still, I think back to those early days with fondness. Remembering the times I accidentally wore a box on my hand instead of rezzing it on the ground to open it and looking like a fool. The genitals all the fellas had was the Realasm. The Lucky Chairs, just waiting for the letter "M" to come up, so I could pounce and get a prize of some sort! And more. So tell me, all you other oldsters, what do you remember about 2008 in SL? Do you say something to the people you see inworld who have your same last name like I do? (I call them cousins!)
  13. EJ, you have to turn off the RLV before you can remove the collar if it's locked. I'm assuming you're using the Firestorm Viewer. At the top of your screen, click Advanced. Scroll down to "RestrainedLove API" and uncheck it. Relog. The RLV will be off then and you can detatch the collar. Before you do though, click the collar and see if you get a menu. If you do, click "Owners," find the person you want to remove, click their name, and select "Remove." You can also click "Run away" to get rid of them, but know that they will get a message from OC informing them that you "ran away."
  14. When I joined SL in 2008, we got to choose from a list of last names when we created our accounts. In that list were a few "gimmick" names which I had no interest in. So, I chose Hancroft because it was the "normalest" name in the list at the time. Since those names appeared for only a short time and never again, anytime I see another Hancroft in my SL travels, I always IM them and say "Hello, Cousin!" Of course I've gotten some strange looks and responses along the lines of; "And who are you?" LOL!
  15. Back in 2016, and on this thread, I stated that I would not go with a mesh body, and was perfectly happy with my legacy avatar. In the two years since, I have changed to the Aesthetic male mesh avatar, got tired of that (even though I spent thousands on clothes for it), and finally went with the Signature Gianni body and the Catwa Daniel head. I have tried several skins and once I found Birth, that's where I've stayed. So yes, I have moved into the mesh avatar, and I'm very happy with how I look now! I've spent a lot of money to get my avatar right, but it's very satisfying once you do! I'm really looking forward to the Bakes On Mesh system going live, though I'm not sure how system clothes are going to look on my Gianni body. If it works likes what I'm seeing posted around, wearing some of my old system clothes is going to be fun!
