Gee, so children are people too and not wild animals?? Thanks for pointing that out Taff. I am sure we all want to thank you for that one. L You say where is the evidence for me saying that the vast majority of adults in SL oppose the merger of the teen grid with the adult grid... Open your eyes!!!! Read the posts here and on other similar threads. Certainly ALL the people I have talked to on SL (and I have lots of freinds) regards this as a disasterously bad idea with mega-implications. Some of my friends who owned major well-known sims in SL have sold up and left SL because of this decision. And they were not running adult ventures... they were middle Second Lifers running sims that provided live music of a wholehearted and wholesome nature, truely positive contributers to a healthy SL community. These are the people who are leaving now..... Not the perverts and paedophiles. No, those types are clapping their hands and saying "bring it on". I have two 13-year old children. There is absolutely no way on earth I would let them have access to SL once it is merged into the adult grid. Not in a million years.

I still cannot believe that this "decision" has been made, and that the mass outcry from the vast majority of residents of the adult grid have been completely ignored. The outcry came with multiple explanations of why this is an insanely bad idea.... and yet the adult residents are not worth listening to apparently. We are just worthless entities. Well that just about sums up Phil Lindens's attitude to adult residents of SL, namely one of total and utter contempt. Little wonder that so many long-time residents and major organiseations such as IBM have either cut back their involvement or pulled out completely. I only come into SL now for the occasional chat to see a few freinds. My busniness plans have been totally wrecked by LL, and yet here they are talking about welcoming teen business ventures onto the main grid - LMAO What a bunch of hypocritical, 2-faced con-men! They are doing this because they are desperate for new money, having driven away serious adult business ventures with their previous appallingly bad decisions such as hiking up the tier rates for land, or requiring machinima film makers to get prior consent from land owners to film on their sims, and so are blind to the stupidity of what they are doing now. SO many people are pointing and saying HAHAHAHAHA yet they have no ears... SL will continue of course... but when SO MANY residents/customers are saying NO... DON'T DO IT, they are bound to reap a whirlwind with this one.
