Why am I receiving IMs through my email instead of in my IM box when im logged in sl??

I have been having problems with my huds not being attached when i log in and can't attack or i log in and i have 2 of each attached and they don't work properly..ie my ao hud..most of the walks wont work it goes the sl defualt walk Is anyone having these issues?? plz let me know what to do if there is anything to do about it thanks!
