Hi Jack,
I haven't posted to a Linden Lab Forum in some time and when I saw that you were leaving I decided it was time. I want you to know that I truly enjoyed working with you during my time at the lab. I found the interview process with you to be positive, organized and uplifting.
It was amazing to hear first hand from an original Linden about terra-forming land with grenades (yes, grenades) and your insight into the history of the Lab which you and I discussed at length. From Jack I learned that Second LIfe used to have water waves, and rain though the rain would leak through the roofs and people would complain to the point that it was removed. The docks near water would be bombarded with waves and that was eventually removed as well.
Though I disagreed with the homestead shake up a year or so ago I found you to be diligent about keeping people informed and progressive about including everyone in the discussion. You showed in the end to have a very cool head and to be reasonable on all accounts. Honestly anything I did not agree with was far out shined by the many things you did for this community in general. Some may argue but I would say the key players in the lab over time were, Phil, Cory, Andrew and you.
Without indulging I will say good luck to your health. I truly wish you the best of luck in that department.
Good luck to you Jack. I still have you on skype so say hi sometime.
Best of luck to you my friend.
