  2. I don't know if I understand the context, but from my experience in website oriented to Machinima and concept between other content related/similar, an alternative channel such as the massive machinima.com dominated by the popularity of the games and where the concept of art has no significant impact. But this is a market!! With adsense feeding a massive gaming industry. Framing on the concept of Second Life for example is very painful, and all investment behind knowledge, produce, build, how, buy what you can not do. Upon paying a fee to a site / community does not seem attractive, even if you have quality, you can have some impact on the edge of the geeks, people more professional, but the general public does not seem to be driven there. Perhaps a good test would be to use a new option with the vimeo video on demand to see if you sell or artistic views on machinima film format. So, depends on the content and machinima is not yet consumer product.
Agradecimentos a Alpha Auer, Maya Paris, Capcat Ragul and Meilo Minotaur. Filmed on Spencer Museum of Art By Cutea Benelli and Blotto Epsilon HUMlab - Instalation by Alpha Auer ("Listen ...") - (landing point) HUMlab - Instalation by Maya Paris ("Bank Job") - (landing point) Delicatessen (Meta.body II) by Meilo Minotaur & Capcat Ragul - Stage 1 Blue Avatars (the floating ones), this avatars (are real avatar) done by Alpha Auer for the "Listen" instalation in-world. Avatar Costumization by Meilo Minotaur & Capcat Ragul - music by Improvisation after Midnight by Brain Control Voiceover lines: Male (made by speedenza) - "They don't lie. Do you hear me? They don't lie at all. Just dive in, and you'll understand what i'm talking about. But be careful, man... There's no way back. They won't leave you anymore, they will come into your dreams waking you up in the night. Look at them - dark brown eyes of your first love. Be careful." Female (made by Bliss) - "I saw it. Watch in Full HD 1080p - Full Screen - http://youtube.com/embed/COjMxMynxtw?html5=1&autoplay=1&vq=hd1080 This year, and for the first time, the SLACTIONS Steering Committee included a day devoted to Machinima in the conference program. The SLACTIONS 2012 Machinima Festival is a Machinima competition included on the SLACTIONS 2012 Research conference on virtual worlds. The RL/SL conference will happen between 15 November 2012 and 17 November 2012. The SLACTIONS 2012 Machinima Festival and awards ceremony will be on 15 November 2012. The SLACTIONS 2012 Machinima Festival agree, approve and promote the free use of imagination. According to SLACTIONS 2012, the Machinima Festival will have a follow-up support and appreciation of work done this year as well as the Vintage category (classics from previous years). Imagination as a concept is a well-known phenomenon whereby a person creates something new under some conditions, and can be associated with creativity. For many, it is intertwined with passion and commitment. The metaverse and machinima are innovations, but what about creativity? It lives inside you. Imagine an Universe where everyone can make choices, live one's dream and share one's passion. For innovation to flourish, the SLACTIONS 2012 Machinima Festival created an environment for fostering creativity; bringing together multi-talented groups of people who work together in close collaboration - exchanging knowledge and ideas, and shaping the path towards the future with their present and past accomplishments and works. By deciding to submit one's works, the path leads to this moment of the battle between a multitude of creators and the chance to share that experience with them. Hundreds of thousands of people can watch it. Why so many? Because it all happens in one universe, where what matters most is the emergent and evolving experience. Because in the Universe all artistry matters and imagination and creativity have an important impact. Imagine being in the right place at the right time and being able to touch the lives of thousands of people, around the world. Welcome to SLACTIONS 2012. The imagination is yours. http://www.slactions.org/2012/?page_id=2 "The metaverse is emerging, through the increasing use of virtual world technologies that act as platforms for end-users to create, develop, and interact, expanding the realm of human cooperation, interaction, and creativity. The conference focus is scientific research on applications and developments of these metaverse platforms: Habbo Hotel, IMVU, Second Life, OpenSimulator, Open Croquet, Activeworlds, Project Wonderland, and others, including MMORPGs such as World of Warcraft, and virtual worlds based on social networks, such as *-ville and others, providing a forum for the research community to present and discuss innovative approaches, techniques, processes, and research results." 6. I would say to you to try different machinima, like storytelling, art or poetry (not only fly cam). Come on! U have much more to show. :matte-motes-bashful-cute-2:
  7. Greetings illustrious artists. We have a small / rand, good news. As some know, others don't! About a year ago I founded the yourmachinima.com. What the hell is that? Well as I was looking for communities that were isolated in my view, such as Second Life (and its various communities), World of Warcraft, muvizu, Moviestorm among numerous other platforms or programs to produce CGI animation etc ... The idea was basically to bring audience up and it is my conviction that the world of machinima is highly branched, both by its style, content and techniques, was to join in all or nearly all alternative channel (call it an alternative to differentiate between the massive machinima.com, the latter more for lovers of games and real-time capture, not so attractive to the creators of SL for example). In fact although many "apologists little minds" that this idea wouldn't have an effect or result, I am pleased to inform you that in fact result. The numbers are astronomical and are now rising day by the day. A figure representative of the membership of those who like to watch and even those who had never seen a CGI video / machinima / animation... And the numbers are 8 million hits in a year :smileysurprised: One of the problems I have tried to pass, but to date the matter about "youtube counter" get a final count has to do with youtube (it's their fault/rules) (because this is the hosting service best known and most used). I understand how traffic important this impact on the work of each one. In fact restricts the youtube videos that play count in "autoplay" on external sites, but after making experiments or without this option active, the youtube continues to ignore the views count of many other sites. But at the same time looking at other communities and the result of the counters, that it does not reflect only the yourmachinima. Continuing, we find it better and more userfriendly leave videos in the "autoplay" always with the option of clicking on each video and go directly to the original youtube page (less bad!). With this massive increase in viewers, the yourmachinima.com crashed last week (LOL). Because the website had a traffic plan limit that exceeded on a large scale this traffic (I was surprised but perhaps not so much). We then need to move forward (forward is that it's way) and reconstruct the concept of our website / community! Since we are already increasing over 20 gigabytes of hosting, increase bandwidth and improve the user experience! : D Once all the views, criticisms and encouragement phrases are accepted with joy! So don't forget that community is made for you! And as the name suggests is your Machinima and it's made to promote your works! Even though many have not even submitted their videos in the channel, many are healed by me as a way of promoting the work of artists involved! Rewarding for you, rewarding for our "small" world of machinima! Who knows we are the Machinima.com for the future? Well, we had less than that an year ago! How about adding an upload features and a propper youtube machinima channel with partnership and so on? What course you want to give your creations and work?Me and yourmachinima community want to thank you all that believed on this project and you are our reason for exist! So it's quiet important your opinion! So far we want as well to thanks our top contributors, such as JJCCCC, pookymedia & Russell, Draxtor, animatechnica, tmunderground, Iclone, moviestorm, and many more! Long live machinima! Cheers!

  9. looks great, indeed its fun. For a Fashion shoot I would advise you to do more close ups, diferent walkings and camera position. (don't forget to up head room), keep the model in frame and not far away. Let me know if u need some more tips. Keep doing good work!
  10. Yes the best way I know to do, as far as I recommend for this kinda techinique is the use of Camera HUDs (they save your camera position) very important to do a sequece of stop motion. I could give you good results, but I am thinking how much work you will have just to do some seconds (remember that many photos you do, much more flow you will have). How many FPS are you thinking to do? best might be something closer to 14 Frames per second.
  11. sounds great, will take a visit today! Thanks for sharing Glasz
