  1. Yes, you just need to have a payement method registered in Billing info (Credit card, PayPal or Skrill)
  2. There's a bug report on the LL Jira: https://jira.secondlife.com/browse/BUG-231680
  3. Firestorm hosts a bunch of classes about the viewer, it can be helpful and even teach you a few tricks: https://wiki.firestormviewer.org/firestorm_classes for the schedule
  4. Standard is 128 but I change it all the time. Could be anywhere from 32 to max, depending on what I'm doing or need to see. Yay for sliders and chat commands!
  5. It realy depends on what you want from an AO. Some are moving about a lot, some are very subtle. There are ones that are all girly and very kawai, business ones, tough ones etc. You can also get seperate animations you like and combine them yourself, either in an empty AO hud or, if you use Firestorm, in the built in AO. Maybe other viewers have built in AO as well but I don't use them so I don;t know. Have fun shopping and trying out animations!
  6. I realy would'nt mind a political subforum. It would just be one of the subfora and subjects I ignore, same as the ones for creators or merchants for instance. Just because I don't like it doesn't mean you can't have it
  7. Firestorm has contact sets for that. You can add people there without being friends. You can make different sets and use different colours too. Very nice if you want to seperate customers or business contacts from friends!
  8. Besides the great advise from Josephina remember to get demos and try them out before buying anything
  9. I tweak and change skins from light to darker and I wear more or less make up. But I stay more or less the same type of avatar
  10. I just visited and found out about the candles. What a lovely gesture!
  11. What a shock! I wish his loved ones much strength to deal with the loss . It must be a blow for all the people at the Lab too!
  12. Draw distance at 1024 will put a lot of strain on your computer, try reducing it when editing and see if that helps
  13. Please before you buy anything else, GET DEMOS! Take some time to try them out, try skins, shapes, clothing too.
  14. A mesh body is a wearable item, just likes clothes, that creates a layer over your default classic body. You need to buy one (or get one of the free ones), read the directions and just wear it like you would wear clothes. Using 'add' instead of 'wear' will prevent it from removing any other items. Most clothes are available for the most popular bodies, like Maitreya or Slink. Once you chose a body make sure the clothes are made for that. Important: get demos and play with them before you make a purchase!
