It's always best to buy the demo first before anything. I had to check the demo a couple of times before I finally made a purchase, but it all comes down to the shape of your avatar's body that makes it look nice. Personally I like the, if i remember the name correctly since i haven't been in world for a while now, is the Elena glow skin. It has a beautiful silvery shade to it and even has skins with blood on them, (my avi is a vampire so this was a very nice touch). But yes make sure you're satisfied with the demo first before you buy anything.
