  1. I don't need no stinkin Ban Lines! Get Off my Lawn! 😁
  2. Ban lines do not apply to spiders. if LL did easments those easments should also be sandboxes for rezzing vehicles and/or replacing the one you just lost. We could even have banline decorating contests.
  3. I have used a live motion editor to get the effect using MovAvi Slideshow Maker (packages vary) but it will give an actual frame by frame with it's motion blur effect. works for moving lens flare effects as well.
  4. I have told people for years, LL is a platform provider period. It is not their job to develop per se. That was one reason I was drawn here, I had a very basic setup to get learn the trappings on my own besides reading countless numbers of tutorials, doing inworld experiments, collection of data, to best see what I could create to make my own little corner in SL. Things that LL provides might be primmy or or impractical for long use, also the gifts are to encourage people to move on from those items(they put a good amount of stuff in there), just like the Library folder everyone has, and to go out and build your own or to commission the work from another resident. Don't like that sailboat? go make your own, we have open source water vehicle scripts. Don't like the Tree House? again create your own that is lower Li or whatever your needs might be, but it's all up to you. I'm not premium anymore but in my case i'm content to have a decent sized controlled sandbox.
  5. I'm Bacckkk! I never said it would be pretty . 😁
  6. A good video editor too that will allow you to cut out any UI or HUD portions of a video. I use MovAvi atm.
  7. It could be the eyeball itself yes, but I bet one could achieve a similar effect for a custom set of 'contacts' (invisible eyeball sized sphere with a ring normal and specular and set to a glow of 0.05) linked with facelight to capture glow and/or specular. That's how i do some of my close up face pics to enhance the highlights on the eyes.
  8. Normally a crash will irritate me, but this one from yesterday gave me something to work with in terms of de-saturation. you can even continue to take snapshots while in an offline state and get updates in the snapshot preview and save as normal but you will get the UI in the other underlayer image. Also, I haven't logged back in since then so this will be how my avatar looks today 😁
  9. @headda, it is a separate layer in it's own sense of materials, yes (diffuse, normal, specular). The image you show has specular maps defining the tattoo (diffuse) layer. In your viewer preferences >> Graphics tab, make sure you have Bump map and Shiny ticked on and also Advanced Lighting (and/or Ambient Occlusion or AO). You can test with various EEP settings also to see where shine and shadow fall on the particular tattoo if on a MESH body (I assume you are referring to the Legacy Mesh body).
