  1. Or this. I have one http://www.3dconnexion.com/products/spacenavigator.html
  2. Everyone keeps telling me how good it is but I do not own any, nor do I know how to find it. Any suggestions? I am aware that the Community Guidelines of this forums state: :"No advertising or promotion of specific Second Life merchants" But I simply want to know how to 'find' mesh clothing. A search in the market place only brings up items that look like a 'mesh' fabric.
  3. I never found an answer. I ended up changing my wireless router and the problem went away immediately. I still have no idea why my router was doing it but clearly it was. I had tried factory resets on the modem without any change. I was using a D-Link wireless router that worked flawlessly except for the teleport issue. Now I have replaced it. All is wonderful in the world that is Second Life.
  4. I know Second Life is very particular about the cards it likes as my older Sony VAIO simply wont run S/L at all. How does Second Life get along with this graphics card? Do the two of them play nicely together? Do they fight? Do they simply refuse to play together? I do not want to spend $2000 on an ASUS G74 laptop only to find issues. I want to be able to enable best quality graphics and effects so I am thinking of the ROG ASUS as a replacement for my current laptop. Thanks in advance for any advice.
  5. I received three emails when I logged in 1) Second Life - Group notice: Castawayz Closing - The sim is open for sale 2) Message From Second Life - Your 21 objects have been returned to your inventory lost and found folder by Castawayz near parcel 3) Message From Second Life - Your 98 objects have been returned to your inventory lost and found folder near parcel '' at Big New Land These items include my house, my furniture and all and sundry Yet my 'Lost and Found' folder contains only a single lamp and a hot tub. I guess I have just kissed my entire inventory goodbye??? or can I 'do' anything?
  6. Latest Viewer. I downloaded it before I re-installed. I have also installed the llatest Phoenix - Same issue there too
  7. I have tried changing HTTP Textures and Reducing Bandwidth and Changing my outfit to less items. Still the same issue. I have completely uninstalled the SL Viewer and rebooted and re-installed it. Same issue. It just egst to 'Contacting New Region' - sits there for ages and logs me out. It cannot seem to 'find' the region let alone get to the next steps and it hapend when visiting places I have been 10 minutes ago - so I know they exist
  8. I get the same error each time I try to TP: "Darn. You have been logged out of second life" when I try to teleport. You have been disconnected from the region you were in" It happens every second or third TP. I am lucky if I can TP at all. As long as I do not TP, all is OK. Any clues as to why? It has only just started - but I have not been on for a while I have tried changing HTTP Textures and Reducing Bandwidth and Changing my outfit to less items. Still the same issue. I have completely uninstalled the SL Viewer and rebooted and re-installed it. Same issue. It just gest to 'Contacting New Region' - sits there for ages and logs me out. It cannot seem to 'find' the region so cannot get to the next steps and it has happened when visiting places I have been 10 minutes ago - so I know they existLinden Live support suggested the steps below. I am goin to try it (PS. It happens in Phoenix too - I downloaded and installed and tested it while in the Live Chat Session)If the resident receives the "unable to complete the teleport in a timely fashion" this may indicate a connectivity _or_ avatar based issue. + First, have the resident visit the support wiki above and follow the steps to Remove all attachments. If this does not fix, continue. + With no attachments on, have the Resident attempt to use the Develop > Avatar > Character Tests > Test Male (or Test Female) (Viewer 2+). This will revert the Resident's avatar to a 'default' state, which will clear any potentially stuck attachments. This is very successful at resolving stuck avatar issues that affect TPs. If they are able to successfully teleport, they may put their original avatar back on again. However, complex attachments may get stuck again, and it's good to warn them about this potential.Well, I tried all of that - Basic Male Avatar - No attachments. Same issue. This is soooooo frustrating
