  1. Phil, what bugs me here and I'm sure others is the OP complaining about the ticket service when he has yet to explore the Live Chat option and has failed to explain why he hasn't or even what his issue is. It's a service reserved for Premium members, i.e., those like the OP, who is at pains to constantly remind us that he is a paying member. If he comes back and says he got nowhere using Live Chat, fine, then perhaps I'll take him seriously but not until then.
  2. Phil, it's a little difficult to take the OP seriously when he has yet to say why he hasn't contacted Live Chat over whatever issue he has. It's a very easy process and both you and I know that Live Chat is available to us in GMT zone at perfectly reasonable hours.
  3. In this instance yes Amanda, it was proper. There was clearly no intention at all by this resident to use the Premium Home as a home. It was converted and staged solely to depict extreme sadistic tortures of females.
  4. This was one of the most extreme depictions of sadism and torture of females I have seen in almost 12 years in Second Life. Only those who submitted the original Abuse Reports before I posted on the Forums saw the full extent as some of the worst depictions had been replaced by then but no doubt would have made a return at some future time. There were just too many serious infractions of both Maturity ratings and specific Premium Home sim rules to take any approach other than Abuse Reports. Given what he called himself and the bots, there was no civilised route to take. To try and equate this to LGBT issues is nonsense and quite honestly, I'm glad my sense of morality left me shocked at seeing these sadistic practices depicted in a home environment. Thankfully, all is now well in the region.
  5. I'm happy to report that Linden Lab has now firmly dealt with this matter. Thanks Kristin, Whirly and all those others who helped. Much appreciated.
  6. I've been filing ARs since last weekend Kristin as have others. Good to hear you are dealing with it now. Thanks
  7. It's not just a Moderate region, it's a Moderate Premium Home region with specific rules beyond the normal Moderate ones. Anyway, thanks to all who responded and to one person in particular who contacted me privately in-world after reading this, came to view and is helping in a very positive and hopefully fruitful way. I'll say no more.
  8. Thanks Garnet. Yes I live near and I don't like seeing 20 avatars named Butcher this and that on my radar every time I'm at my home. LL have always responded to Abuse Reports on their own Home sims very quickly in the past. Why not now in this instance is beyond me. They probably have a dozen or more ARs from me and others now regarding this matter.
  9. Linden Lab's Premium Home Sim Covenant includes the following (I have highlighted some pertinent points): Linden Home has unique restrictions in addition to those outlined in the Linden Home Terms and Conditions. By accepting a Linden Home, you agree to additional restrictions as follows: Linden Home is for residential use only. Business use of any kind is prohibited, including parcel rental, rental boxes, classified ads or other forms of advertising, and event listings. Land cannot be terraformed, sold, deeded to group, joined, or divided. Land cannot contain sky boxes, temp-rezzers, or individual prims beyond the allocated size of the Second Life Viewer build tools — 10x10x10m (no megaprims). Linden Homes may not be removed, modified, exchanged, set or deeded to group, or transferred. Linden Homes should be kept presentable and in-theme. Linden Homes should not be used as sandboxes. Linden Homes do not include traffic tracking. Ownership is limited to one Linden Home per Premium Account. Living in a community includes courtesy towards your neighbors. Here are some guidelines for etiquette in Linden Home regions: Use local chat say, rather than shout. Adhere to the Maturity Rating for the Linden Home region you're located in. Respect your neighbors' privacy. Review general Second Life etiquette suggestions and incorporate them into your Linden Home experience: As you are aware, Premium Home sims are located in Moderate regions and use is usually strictly controlled. Occasionally, people breach this Covenant setting up clubs, shops, horse breeding stables or guilty of other transgressions and in my experience after living in my Premium Home since they were first released, Linden Lab usually deals with these promptly and efficiently within a day or two of an Abuse Report. It's therefore quite shocking to find Linden Lab ignoring its own Covenant and Community Guidelines, permitting a resident to convert and extend one of its quad Premium Homes near me into a sadistic torture chamber which is clearly adult and extreme adult at that. In it, he has 20 bots, both torturers and victims, all female avatars, operating a horrific range of sadistic torture equipment depicting violent and highly offensive acts. One involved a girl impaled on a spit and roasted over an open fire; another a girl being violently electrocuted while being hung on a rack; another being tied to a circular saw table while a blade cuts her open; others depict brutal whippings, rape and various tortures. The building is not in use as a home in any way whatsoever. I don't know if other people come here to use the torture equipment, they may do outside my time zone. Some of torture equipment mentioned above has changed over the past week so will likely rotate over time. I'm just describing some of what was there and some of what still is. I would post photographs but they would breach the Community Guidelines here, being too explicit. Despite three Abuse Reports from me and Abuse Reports from friends of mine, Linden Lab's Governance Team has done absolutely nothing to stop this gross and offensive violation of its own rules in one of its own designated Moderate Premium residential sims. If the Moderators want to remove this post, so be it (I'll post it on other sites), but if they do so, I hope they will notify someone senior in Linden Lab about this disgraceful situation. The resident should be told in no uncertain terms to take his torture chamber to a suitable adult sim and revert the home to normal residential use and not cause offence to all the other residents in the area by allowing this place to exist there. If anyone has any ideas on how to make Linden Lab take action, please do make suggestions.
  10. @ SAVLMichelleCVetV How can LL give notice of 'unscheduled maintenance'? If they could give notice, it would be 'scheduled maintenance', wouldn't it!
  11. Although it would be good advice, I don't think Linden Lab has ever actually said "get a gaming computer" and the company does mention Intel on the System Requirements page. Certainly a desktop or laptop with a discrete gaming graphics card is best for running SL but there are plenty of users with integrated Intel HD graphics as well. My desktop is over 6 years old now. It has its original OC Intel quadcore i5 750 processor and I recently replaced the degrading ATI Radeon HD 5850 with an AMD R7 370. The system still runs SL reasonably well but struggles in busy places. I tried Firestorm recently for the first time and while it runs fine in quiet places, it's very poor in busy clubs and fairs. Linden Lab's own viewer is far superior in those situations and can run at Mid graphics when FS is struggling on Low. I've run Black Dragon and its predecessor, Niran's, for years and it is by far my favourite viewer (as commented to me recently by another happy BD user, "going from Black Dragon to Firestorm is like going from a Ferrari to a Chevy"). However, you need a really good computer to run Black Dragon in _all_ situations. I switch to the LL viewer when going to clubs and fairs. I tried Singularity, which people says is best for computers struggling to run Second Life well. However, it ran well for one or two sessions then refused to open after that so I gave up on it. Perhaps it will work better than the LL viewer for you though but I've heard it's not as up-to-date as other viewers. The Second Life Third Party Viewer Directory is here: http://wiki.secondlife.com/wiki/Third_Party_Viewer_Directory Here is a useful link on Second Life and Intel HD graphics: http://blog.nalates.net/2016/06/20/second-life-intel-hd-graphics-how-to-improve/ If your Intel HD systemis struggling with mesh, have you tried updating your Intel HD graphics drivers? For example, here is one mesh bug affecting Intel HD: https://community.secondlife.com/t5/Technical/Why-does-this-keep-happening-to-me/qaq-p/3013588
