  1. Thanks Obvious for the tip! As for finishing this thing, I can only hope they at least make a last ditch effort to "cludge" it for the sake of making things look a bit less well... Ok, maybe a lot less messy compared to the older parts of the mainland...
  2. Ok so... A few weeks ago I decided to go mainland and purchased a nice little 1024sqm plot over on Zindra. Its got an ocean view and *gasp* roadway access! I was thrilled, well... Until I dug out my little VW Beetle from the depths of my inventory and started driving around... It wasn't long before I began to realize that LL seems to have never actually gotten around to finishing the roads and waterways and such... Silly question, but does anyone know if they're still working on this? Has the project been scrapped? Given that the continent has been around since 2009 it seems kind of odd to find roads that end at a bare sim edge... Any ideas? Any Lindens still around with some answers? :)
  3. My sim is utilizing an automated ban management system that will temporarily ban users based on their avatar's age. For example, if a user's account is under 15 days, they will be temporarily estate banned for 24 hours after being given a polite message explaining our policy regarding new users. Of course, this is all handled from an in world server that uses llManageEstateAccess. Its worked flawlesly for over a year now, however for the past month or so its started spamming me with the message "The object 'Object Name' has [removed or added] agent UUID [from or to] the estate ban list." every time it does anything to the estate access lists. This message isn't coming from anything inside the script, and its behaving like an llInstantMessage call as while I'm offline the messages are going to my email. Is there any way to turn this off? Its all well and good that the sim is telling me whats going on, however by this point the number of messages its sending have literally flooded my email and its gotten so bad that I'm starting to miss offline messages and group notices when I log in.
  4. FYI - after doing some digging through the forums I came across a couple of mel scripts which seem to work for importing / exporting bvh files. http://circle.twu.net/progs/bvhexport1_5.mel http://circle.twu.net/progs/bvhimport.mel From: http://forums-archive.secondlife.com/52/7d/42181/1.html As for getting the models to work, I'm a bit of a beginner when it comes to Maya in general. Modelling is easy, but I'm still tinkering when it comes to animations. Although I'll say this, compared to Poser the UI and navigation on this thing is a god send! .
  5. I can't help but feel extremely uneasy about this. With the teen grid and the main grid separated, at least there was a hard, physical boundary between the adult players along with their content and those who shouldn't - under any circomstances see that content. With this, it seems there are just too many variables and way too much room for something to go wrong. Personally? I'll be voluntarily limiting myself to the sims marked as adult. I don't trust those who are underage, and I'll never interact with one of them; especially over the internet. The last thing I need is for some kid to go and make up some story or falsify a chat log saying that I did or said something inappropriate, then I'll wind up branded as a pedofile for the rest of my life.
