It is you rezzing in!  If you set your draw low you will rez in faster.  With Phoenix or Firestorm you can do the following to set draw distance.  Type in local chat dd 10.  Then wait until you rez, then type dd 100.  Far out!

I've been exploding red since I updated my Phoenix viewer.

I tend to explode for a short time after i log in dont worry its just a diffrent particle system phoenix and firestorm use as you load in.

When I logon like this (or the infamous white egg), I do a quick rebake (Ctl-Alt-R) and I rez very quickly.
