Cant seem to edit face shape

I can edit all other parts but for some reason not my face. Any suggestions?

I guess that you use one of the new mesh starter avatars. 

They are good.. but you will find out that you can't change the face. You can not change skin either. If you try to change clothes, they will not show up at all, or part of the mesh body will clip through. Linden Lab has got a lot of comments on this, but they are unwilling to adress the problems new people have with them. Tutorials about how to customize your avatar is not updated either. Tutorials are based on "classic" avatars. You find these under "Me" - "Choose an avatar" - "Classic".

Yes, I did choose one of those. Thank you for the answer. I have choosen a classic avatar now. Shame cause I really like one of the other ones but just needed to make a few tweaks. Will start over again though.

You can go back to the mesh avatar you started with, as long as you know what you can't do with it.

Classic avatars can look really good too, without you breaking the bank. It is many things offered for free to new avatars, and also on the Marketplace and inworld. There are whole blogs for freebies (even if paid items sneak in more and more).
