0 Lindal Kidd
Check the quality of your internet connection. See here: http://blog.nalates.net/2011/10/26/troubleshoot-your-sl-connection/ Set your bandwidth at about 70% of your measured download speed, but not more than 1500 kBps Get a faster graphics card. The Nvidia GeForce cards are the best for SL, in my opinion Turn off shadows Turn off reflections Turn off Advanced Lighting Model Reduce antialiasing to 2X or off Reduce your draw distance Increase the size of your texture cache If you have a very low powered computer that just won't perform well with SL, consider the SLGo subscription service offered by OnLive. This offloads a lot of the work onto their servers. Cost is $10 per month. Finally, lower your expectations. Second Life is very inefficient, an unfortunate consequence of being designed to permit user-generated content. It will not perform like graphically-intensive computer games you may be used to.
