Question

I download the latest version of the third party viewer Catznip so that I could use RLV functions. Everything I enter a region with RLV traps a prompt pops up saying someone in the area im in would like to take control of my viewer. When I hit allow or deney they prompt pops right back up and wont accept an answer. I have no idea what im doing wrong please help.

*** After playing with it and removing all HUDS and gear I have determined that it is my PBA causing this issue. I have tkPBA (110x) I still dont know how to fix this issue.

The challenge is in learning what tkPBA does and how to use it. I use it with Firestorm and it works OK. I do have to occasionally use the SL Viewer to remove the tkPBA attachment.

The basics of RLV use is here: http://somethingspunky.wordpress.com/using-rlv-just-the-basics/

There are note card instructions in the tkPBA package that explain its features.

A big problem for new users is figuring out how to lock parts of their appearance. With Slink feet and hands and heads there are some attachments you want to stay attached. I suspect most RLV toys and traps are NOT aware of feet, hands, and head or even bodies that are attachments. They are too old and were made before fitted mesh was introduced.

Innula Zenovka has provided good answers on RLV use in other threads. See one instance: http://community.secondlife.com/t5/LSL-Scripting/RLV-how-it-does-what-it-does/m-p/1010751#M4373
