New SL Viewer doesn't load after installation, stops at VFS initialization and closes.

Was forced to install most recent update(as usual) and now I can't even open Second Life. It will get to the VFS initialization message then close imdetiately. This is very frustrating, any help would be nice,:catsad:

You are not the only one, by far.  Linden Lab techs are aware of the problem and are working feverishly to fix it.  It only seems to effect a fairly small number of SL residents who have integrated Intel graphics chips.  For right now, the only solution is to download and install a different viewer.  If you like the Linden Lab viewer and don;t mind using one that is not quite ready for prime time, try one of the Release Candidate or Project viewers.  Otherwise, try any of the excellent Third Party viewers, like Firestorm.

Good advice.  FYI, the patch was released yesterday as a new update(ver. 3.7.21.296724), rather than an experimental version. It's available on the regular LL Download site at https://secondlife.com/support/downloads/?lang=en-US
