Help us celebrate Oktoberfest AND the official 10th Birthday of CDS when it acquired it's first region on 9/20/2004!!

 

The Celebration of Oktoberfest AND the 10th Birthday of the Confederation of Democratic Simulators continues with country Singer/Songwriter/Guitarist, Bandit Eddingham! Bandit is good! He is into American Country music. And just a little research shows he is not unknown in this genre in RL. He is inspired by many country singers that performed in the country music capital, Nashville, TN, USA. He has performed in many famous places himself, such as a performance at the one place all country music professionals seek as their ultimate career goal, the Grand Ole Opry in Nashville, TN. Yes, Bandit is a pro in RL!

This event and many others are being held to celebrate the 10th Birthday of CDS in Second Life. Come join the party!

The CDS Anniversary celebration will continue until mid-November with a myriad of special events including Queen in concert, a bluegrass festival, intellectual lectures on Greek/Roman mythology, country artists, DJ competitions, a blues festival, dances, poetry readings, an art festival, historic tours of CDS, a treasure hunt, our annual Oktoberfest and more! Stay tuned for further announcements ....

About CDS: With approximately 80 current citizens, the Confederation of Democratic Simulators is the oldest democracy in Second Life. Originally founded in 2004 as the City of Neualtenburg in the Anzere region as part of a contest by Linden Labs to preserve the snow sims, the Confederation of Democratic Simulators (CDS) is now a five-region community operated by the citizens in a democratic manner including elections twice a year. Plans are currently underway to add a sixth region. Each region is designed to reflect a specific theme: Bavarian, Roman, Alpine and Tuscan. Resident master builders have created amazing builds in each of the regions including the Schloss within a walled city, the Kirche, the Monastery, the Praetorium and a Tuscan fishing village. All of the regions are connected by a planned infrastructure and offer a place to walk, bicycle or horseback ride. We even have a Museum of Contemporary Art (MoCA)!
