This is very frustrating to me. I've been in Second Life almost two years and have always been pleased with the product until four days ago. I downloaded the new viewer and haven't been able to upload 'png' or 'jpg' sources. I keep getting the message "The server is experiencing unexpected difficulties. Please try again later."

I've tried and tried for four days now and the SIM owner cannot figure out what's happening. I live on Nanea Isle (4,228,24) and have no luck uploading new textures I have created in Photoshop. Is there someone out there who knows what's going on.

Have you been able to determine whether this is a viewer issue or a server one? I mean, do you have the same problem when you use Phoenix or some other viewer instead of V2?  I only use Phoenix and have been uploading textures regularly without problems, but that could just be good luck. If you test and find that it's doing the same thing regardless of the viewer you use, try uploading while you are on another sim to see if its servers are kinder to you. If so, the next step would be to restart your own sim.

I've updated to the new viewer yesterday.  I've uploaded about a hundred textures since then, with no trouble whatsoever.  My guess is your sim is having problems, or maybe your firewall issues.  Any lost packets?

Do you get that problem if you are on another sim?  Try it somewhere else.

I had the same problem some time ago.

A sim restart resolved this. Teleporting to a different sim and uploading the textures there also worked before the sim restart :-)
