Oops! Google Chrome could not connect to secondlife.com

For the last 2 days, I can not log onto secondlife on any account, nor can I go to the secondlife website.

I've tried different browsers and another computer but for some reason whenver I try to go on the website it never loads

Oops! Google Chrome could not connect to secondlife.com

Try reloading: secondlife.com/support/downloads/

Additional suggestions:

  • Access a cached copy of secondlife.com/support/downloads/
  • Search on Google:

    But for some reason I can log onto the beta grid...And whenever I try to connect to the main grid on any viewer it says
    "Login failed.Despite our best efforts, something unexpected has gone wrongplease check satus.secondlifegrid.net to see if there is a known problem with the serviceif you continue to experience problems please check your network and firewall setup.
    It's not my firewall, I've tried to log into different regions and its the same thing.I have NO idea why its only secondlife, but It's weird that the site wont even load?  Every other site loads just fine.  I didnt change anything, please help :smileysad: thank you

I'm using Chrome and not having any problems, but there have been a lot of "can't login" reports recently.

I am confused though - are you having talking about browser (Chrome) <-> website (secondlife.com) issues OR

viewer <-> beta grid/main grid?

These are different things and shouldn't affect each other.

Hello rainropy and welcome to SL Forums. Power down your modem / router for at least 2 mins, restart your computer and try again to log in a protected land like Smith.

If it doesn't work, clear your browser's cache and see if that helps.

Another thought is to clear your SL cache manually, restart your computer and try to log in Smith.

 Also give a try to download an older version of V2, 2.8.3 for example.

Good luck.
