Local chat problems?

I'm noticing of late, others having problems seeing local chat. I'm having the same problems. Others can see what I chat in their chat window, but mine refuses to open.

If I open the chat box, I can see what I'm chatting and what others are saying, but it blocks my view of the sim. That sometimes takes care of the problem.

Is this just a temp problem due to lag or LL servers?

Firestorm has a number of different ways of displaying chat and it's possible that your viewer is set in a way that it doesn't do what you expect. This blog post from a Firestorm rep explains the settings.
