Question

I installed Secondlife on a Mythbuntu 10.10 (using Xubuntu desktop and now switching to Kubuntu to see if that fixes this issue).  When I try to run Secondlife from the menu, it starts and stops abruptly without creating anything.  However, when I try running it from a terminal, I get the following response.

patrickdickey@dcky-mythbuntu:/opt/secondlife-install$ ./secondlife
Running from /opt/secondlife-install
Warning: Did not register secondlife:// handler with KDE: Directory /home/patrickdickey/.kde/share/kde4/services/ does not exist.

./secondlife: line 118: 16251 Illegal instruction LD_LIBRARY_PATH="`pwd`"/lib:"${LD_LIBRARY_PATH}" $LL_WRAPPER bin/do-not-directly-run-secondlife-bin
*** Bad shutdown. ***

This is a BETA release of the Second Life linux client.
Thank you for testing!
Please see README-linux.txt before reporting problems.

My system has an AMD Athalon XP 1800+ processor, 2GB of RAM, and an ATI Radeon 9550 using the OpenGL Drivers.  I'm not sure what I need to do to fix this (editing the secondlife script or whatever), so any help is greatly appreciated.

Thanks, and have a great day:)
Patrick.
