Voice has been a flaky service in SL since it was implemented, back in 2007.  It is not controlled by your viewer but by separate software.  All your viewer does is switch it on and off and let you change volume.  Most of the time, voice problems are due to Internet connection issues, conflicts in your own computer, or hardware problems.  The Firestorm support crew has a very good summary of the usual problems and solutions at http://wiki.phoenixviewer.com/fs_voice .  If you can't solve your problem with those suggestions, your best move is to ask in the Firestorm group in world.

Hi

this may appear mad

but have you got sound card on the main broad, and have you fitted a sound card

there by you have two sound cards

if so

your computer may need to be set

I did this once by opening the media controls and found my on broad sound card was still active, and had to click on it for a drop down menu and pick the right sound card,

hope that help you

good luck

byee
