Smart TV's are the same as any other monitor, so yes, you can connect it. I use a 60" smart TV for Second Life without problems. :)

Provided your PC/laptop can output to HDMI or VGA - these are the two most common standards, of which HDMI produces a better image - you can use the respective cable to run between your PC/laptop and the TV (the connectors will be on the rear or rear-sides). You can then view the PC's input by changing the connection Source on your TV remote.

As suggested by Marigold you should consult the manual for your TV. Some TVs have inputs specifically designed for PC display resolutions, even if they have multiple source inputs only one or two may be compatible. Without information about your TV (manufacturer, part code), it's not possible to guide you further.

Good luck!

Hi Theresa,

My understanding of this series is that most connection interfaces are on the rear, in a single panel. There should be two HDMI interfaces, one of which is labeled 'HDMI (DVI)'. This is where you should connect your PC or laptop, and then use the Source button on your remote to view it.

It should be as easy as that.

:)
