I wonder when Second Life will be ready for the new innovation, Oculus Rift?  I am truly thrillied at the prospect of experiencing this.

How will they announce this?  And will there be a special type that will have to be bought?

Wondered if anyone had any information.

The CtrlAltStudio Viewer is the current experimental viewer that supports Oculus' DK2. It has an incomplete UI, but it does support the new head tracking.

Linden Lab announced their receipt of about a half dozen DK2's and work starting up on their building support for DK2. They have a Project Viewer for Oculus on the RC & Project Viewer page. I think it is still just DK1 support.
