I tried to post a comment on a gift that was sent to me via Market Place and I cant... whats up?

I bought a dress from Market from one account to another via gift. The dress wasnt as advertised. I wanted to comment on it to help warn other players that the dress was not mesh, only certain parts were mesh. It keeps giving me the "You have to buy this dress in order to post a comment", I tried from both accounts and still recieve the same header...

Interesting....I've not tried to review a gift sent to me until you mentioned this.

OK gifts sent to me are not listed in my https://marketplace.secondlife.com/orders History pages so that excludes the option for the Gift Receiver to leave a review.

Additionally, gifts I have sent to others are clearly identified but lack the Review Product link.

Exactly what message did you receive when trying to leave a review? How did you get an active link in order to try to leave a review?

The answer seems to be that you should be able to review a gift that you send (not one that you receive), but that feature is busted (and has apparently been busted for a long time).  You might want to submit a bug report (JIRA) to call Linden Lab's attention to it.
