Waiting for Region Handshake on Second Life Main Viewer. Doesn't Affect this Lightweight Viewer.

I was Playing Second Life for Long. And So. I Just no Received connection and During Logging in. the Waiting for Region handshake and then. no Acknownledgement from Server. It's too Bad. and Happen for me. sometimes. Due to My Internet Ping or ISP?

It is a connection problem but it could be at your end or at the SL end. You can try doing a speed test, speedtest.net to see if your connection is what you expect. You can also try logging in to a differrent sim.

 

You can also check this site http://status.secondlifegrid.net/ which will tell you if there is any maintenance going on that might cause connection problems.

Persistant "waiting for region handshake" is usually a Firewall problem, your Firewall blocking UDP packets.  (That is if the Grid or the SIM you are trying to log in to are running so you would want to check Grid Status fisrt or try a different SIM).
