Second Life Viewer doesn't load after installation

Hello everyone, I just joined second life because a friend recommended that I check it out.

 

I downloaded the Download the SL Viewer on Windows Version Number: 3.7.20.296094 from the website but after installation the program for the viewer loads up the initial detection screen but then it doesn't load up the application at all 

 

My computer specs are Intel Core i5 M450 and the graphics card is Nvidia GeForce 310M. I am running Windows 7 Home Edition 64 bit with 4 GB or RAM I have a 500 GB HDD with about 201 GB available left

 

so it shouldn't have any trouble according to the minimum requirements to run second life. It  isn't blocked by any virus protection or firewall protection programs either, and I have 3 virus/ ad- aware programs installed and it cleared all of the, 

Please help me.

There's a problem with some setups and the video-card detection/test system the current viewer uses.

This is the test version of the viewer that's hoped to be the fix - if you want to try it click on the links next to the word "install". CYGWIN is for Windows.
