Second Life Viewer Basic Mode

There is no longer, and hasn't been for a very long time, a 'Basic Mode' in the Viewer.  Keeping this area of the forums active for posting will only lead to confusion and lead people to post questions/discussions that may not be seen by those that have an interest.

Maybe it could be set to 'read only'.

I agree completely. 

I had posted this in Forum Feedback not long ago suggesting we needed a section for Mac and Linux users as well as for TPV's.

i agree, the threads should be merged with the threads of Second Life Viewer section.

Shortly said: there was Linden Lab viewer with dumbed down "easy" UI for beginners.
It wasn't a very bright idea after all and now it does not exist anymore.
