Scheduled Inventory Database Maintenance

[POSTED 2:38 PM PDT, 13 August 2014] We will be performing scheduled inventory maintenance on Thursday, August 14, 2014 at approximately 6:00 AM PDT. During this time, some residents may be logged off and will be temporarily unable to log in, or experience inventory loading issues. This maintenance may also disrupt transactions. Please refrain from transacting with L$ or rezzing valuable (no-copy) items until the all-clear is given. Please check back here for updates.

 

However, it is now after 9:30 am on the 14th and there is no comment on the GSP as to whether the work has been rescheduled, is actually ongoing or (perish the thought) is "resolved".  Could we have a bit of clarity please LL?

Until it is marked as "Resolved" or an update is posted saying it was cancelled, you must assume that the work is still going on.  The Inventory Database I am sure is quite large and depending on what they are doing, it may take a while, particularly if they run into issues.

Yes, naturally Amethyst, always assume that the advice sound...but my point is that it is now over 5 hours after the scheduled start and there is no indication that the work has even begun.

No rez and no transact restrictions are serious impediments to the SL economy, not to mention that it puts a crimp in our time inworld.

All that is required is a lilttle note to say "we're doing it"...like they do with the rolls.  Not too much to ask, is it?
