Second Life Server (main channel)

The main channel is getting the server maintenance project, which was previously on all three RC channels.

I am experiencing problems after the restart. It is night on the sim, eventhough it is set to day. There are no clouds. My parcel shows pathfinding, voice etc. inactive, eventhough it is not. I can't fly. In the address bar my previous location shows. Mesh objects do not render. Non-mesh seems to work fine. It was like that after the restart. I did relog, left the sim, waited for 1 hours, but still the same. The name of the sim is 'Shopping'.

Hi Stephan, support just fixed this issue.  If you reconnect to 'Shopping', things should be back to normal with your viewer.  If there are scripts using HTTP-In on your region, you may want to ask an estate manager to restart the sim.

I was seeing similar problems over the weekend. It had the feel of a load-related problem with the network at the server site. I don't know what load the restarts put on the network.

I'd agree that it's odd that a cache clear would fix things. I have sometimes wondered if the Viewer cache needs some work, arising from effects CDN might have, A multi-layer cache system is different.

Still having problems with not being able to teleport, inventory items missing, friends list not loading, when try to teleport game crashes...among a few other problems, when to expect to have this fixed i need to be able to get to my store, i maybe losing $L cause of your screw up ! not to mention other people are commenting on my post in General they are having same problems happening to them as well. please ananswer is long over due !
