Update at 2014-10-08 18:19: release note links have been added.

Due to the wiki being read-only for the moment, the server release notes have not been posted.  However, the relevant details of the server updates are described below.

Second Life Server (main channel)

The main channel is getting the maintenance project that was previously on all three RC channels.  This project fixes a bug related to viewing parcel details in gaming regions.

Scheduled Tuesday 2014-10-07 03:00-09:00 PDT

Second Life RC BlueSteel:

No updates are scheduled for BlueSteel this week.

Second Life RC LeTigre:

No updates are scheduled for LeTigre this week.

Second Life RC Magnum:

No updates are scheduled for Magnum this week.

Second Life RC Snack:

RC Snack is a small, temporary channel.  It is currently being used for a new asset fetching pipeline for texture and mesh assets through a CDN instead of through the simulator host.  More details about this project can be found here.  This week's update to Snack (with version 14.10.03.295112) is to include the changes from this week's main channel update.

You can set firestorm to notify you what RC channel you are on and it will alert you in chat if you change channels when crossing from one region to another. Preferences > move & view > notify if the simulator changes when changing the region. Not sure what other viewers have that feature though.

pssssst....there`s 2 snack regions north of bay city.:matte-motes-nerdy:

Hi Maestro,

I've noticed that most of the "Open water" regions in the Blake sea regions.....are now using RC Snack server software.

I read some complaints about bad sim crossings in Vehicles  on those  Snack servers  on the Virtual World Sailing site

Howerver i went there today to test sim crossings with one of my Airlpane vehicles in those RC Snack servers regions.

(I was testing blake sea areas near Hollywood)

I found no  problems at all ...sim crossing seemed perfectly normal.
