Update at 2014-05-20 14:02 PDT: The rolls have been rescheduled for the rest of this week.  The main channel regions which were not rolled today (that is, those not yet on 14.05.09.289913) will be rolled on Wednesday morning at the usual main channel roll time.  The RC rolls have been rescheduled for Thursday morning at the usual RC channel roll time.

Update at 2014-05-20 09:57 PDT: Due to this morning's unscheduled maintenance, the RC rolls originally scheduled for tomorrow have been canceled.

 

Second Life Server (main channel)

The main channel will be updated to get the server maintenance project that was on Magnum last week.  This project includes a bug fix for a networking-related issue that sometimes affects busy sims.

Second Life RC BlueSteel and RC LeTigre:

BlueSteel and Letigre remain on the inventory update project.  This project enables support for a new version of the inventory service, AISv3.  To make use of this new feature, login with the Sunshine RC Viewer (coming soon to the downloads page).  This week's update is to include the bugfix that went into this week's main channel update.

I observed... monitor this.

my tolerance threshold is exhausted.

Problems happen but when they happen in this stunning frequency it is no longer a problem it is a screw up.

The loss of income today alone would have paid for my sim which I will be charged in full despite that fact that it keeps rebooting with 30 miutes downtime everytime. At some point TOS cannot erase legal obligations anymore. All of this was acceptable in 2008, in 2014 it is simply not because they keep repeating itself with increasing frequency for 2 months now. In the end of the day it is the basic functions that aren't working after 11 years of experience.

So OK the "Unscheduled Maintenance on Primary Services" interrupted the Main Server roll...Remonta was rolled prior to the outage yet Woods of Heaven has not yet rolled..

It would be nice if the Grid Status Page actually reflected what was going on in that regard.  Your updated post is out of sync with the GSP, or so it would seem.

It has been a rough day at the office today, I guess!

Thanks for pointing that out, Ayesha - it has indeed been a long day.  The calendar on the grid status page has been corrected to align with my updated post.  'Woods of Heaven' should be rolled to 14.05.09.289913 tomorrow morning.

Residents in world will not be logged out, but will experience loss of supporting services such as search and inventory. New logins will not be accepted, and Residents in world should not attempt to transfer or manipulate L$ or valuable (no-copy) assets until the ALL CLEAR is given.
