This week, we're back to our usual deploy schedule.

 

Second Life Server (main channel)
The main channel is getting the 'server modernization' project that was previously on BlueSteel and LeTigre.

Second Life RC BlueSteel

BlueSteel is getting a new maint-server project, which also includes the plethora of bugfixes found on Magnum recently.

Second Life RC LeTigre

LeTigre is getting the same update as BlueSteel.

Second Life RC Magnum

Magnum is on the same maint-server project as last week.  Aside from the changes included in this week's main channel update, it has two fixes for bugs discovered late last week.

Although the same code is being released on both BlueSteel and LeTigre RCs today, the ID numbers of the two batches of code are different:

now these codes are not merely different in their final number but are from different months..so why?

ETA: I answered my own question.  I guess it is just a wrong link, since the code slated for release today is indeed the same number.:smileyembarrassed:

Maestro, or whoever is watching this thread:

I wonder if something is affecting our sim?  8910 Woods of Heaven, LeTigre RC.

After the last two Rolls we have experienced, about 4 hours after the Roll on our sim, ie at about 1pm PST, a series of three or four massive spikes in sim physics, where Physics FPS drop to 0.1 (effectively zero) for about 3 or 4 seconds every two or three minutes for about 30 minutes.

Apart from these spikes we have no other issues and during the spikes, although we experience total physics outage and chat-lag, there is nothing seen in either TD or Sim FPS.  Several of us on the sim experience it, two of us in the UK and one in the USA, so it is not our ISPs, and we do not see packet loss.

I reported this last week as well.  Once the spikes have passed and before they occur no other problems afflict us and all seems normal.

Anyone like to offer an explanation?

I'll try to get you those the next time it occurs since I don't have any time data that accurate for this lot.  's one of those things that you don't know is happening until it's almost over so I'll likely have to wait until next roll to see if it recurs!
