Monti Messmer
No, but get some German friends and they will teach you. I´d be happy for a change to speak my own language and have others suffer searching for words explain things :-) Monti

CheyenneNeshoba
I seriously need to learn German. I constantly get asked if I speak German due to my VERY German last name. I was born in Germany but raised in the States, so had no exposure to learn from. I get a little embarrased in that I dont know much when I should. Funny, during my travels in Europe, I found most spoke at least some english.
Dresden Ceriano
My first name in SL is a city in Germany, therefore I've been asked a few times if I speak German... as which point, I must explain that I'm not German and that I was named after the band The Dresden Dolls and not after the actual city itself. My last name in SL is a comune (municipality) in Italy, but, I've yet to have ever been asked if I speak Italian... go figure. ...Dres

If you want to learn German, here are some links: Learning German: https://deutsch.lingolia.com/en/ This is for free, at least the lessons for beginners, but I can look further for other sides, that are free. A dictionary for free: http://www.canoo.net/index_en.html Here you can also find explanations for the grammar etc and a link collection, but it is not so for beginners. A German-English dictionary + trainer for vocabulary for free: http://dict.leo.org/trainer/index.php?lp=ende〈=de And in case, only in this case, you have too much money, you can learn German in the USA here, but you get also a certificate (if needed): http://www.goethe.de/ins/us/lp/enindex.htm
CheyenneNeshoba
Thus a failing of the American education system. From my understanding, English as a second language is mandatory in many countries.
l05tchild
Funny. I was born in the States but got raised in Germany thus my English skills are far from native. But I would love to communicate with you, Chloe. Maybe I can improve my English skills and you learn some German :-) Alice
