New cyberpunk technopunk RP at Hangars Liquides

We asked the HL owner to officially rp there and she accepted. From previous bad experiences we are avoiding, classes, races, meters and GM's for the moment.

The setting is very open to new players ideas and contributions.

So, you don't have any rules then? Or if you do, how are you going to enforce them? Not sure what you mean by classes, but as for races, well, your website mentions humans and androids, and those are generally considered 'races'. Would be easier to say that you're human-only, but if you have androids, you're not.

I'm just confused.

We have common sense rules, we've all been abused by some godmodding GM's in another cyberpunk sim and we, as a community, have many expert rpers, so the rp is never becoming entropic. What we chose to do is to have some players overseeing the community and until now we didn't have problems. Our main focus is to tell stories together within the technopunk/cyberpunk scenario, and not that of being the stronger and more badass god-modding Mary Sue character. I am sure it sounds confusing, but it avoids the many problems we suffered as players before.

By not having classes I mean you're not forced, when subscribing, to choose from a race, like android, human, vampyre, furry, blue dwarf or who knows what else.

You are part of the community, and that's enough, and you can then decide if you're human, or an AI, or a cyborg or else within the roleplay scenario. I'm available would you have more questions or suggestions.

Well, I sympathize with your experiences with GMs, although I've had the pleasure of meeting several good ones too. Still think it seems a bit overly optimistic go without them completely. But hey, good luck anyway, always good to try new methods. May check it out sometime.

How do you mean 'forced' though? Having different races, or 'classes', to choose from in character creation is something I'd consider a greater freedom offered, rather than something I'm forced to do.

Hey, thanks for the good luck wishes. Of course there are good GM's around, probably not the ones we all met. By forced, I mean those sims where you are actually forced to choose from a race when you sign in. At HL you're free to be whatever you like, without the 'forced sign-in'. Be welcome to drop by or message me, we're just beginning with scheduled rp, at the moment. Any suggestions will be well appreciated :smileyhappy:
