Seperate skinned boots in Blender?

Hi everyone, wondering if someone can help.

 

I made a boot and then skinned it in blender. I then mirrored the boot so I have a right and left boot. The skinning is working fine on both boots, however now both boots are part of the same object, I am not sure how to seperate them so I can bring them into sl as seperate objects. Can anyone suggest a way I can do that??
