Spinell
I wanna have a go at making my own mesh head. Mostly just for myself. I'd like some tips from you guys on modeling and topology, since I believe I have to model this in ortho view? I still don't know how I'm gonna make that work, since I find it very hard to work on that view.I'd also like to know how to apply things like emotions and animations? I think it's possible to make eyes blink with mesh heads, like with the default SL avatar?Thank you for the help and advice. Also, this: XDhttps://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ac4qV2uIF3Q(Think it's this easy?)
lillypadgurl
Hello Spinell, Blender has a great snapping tool so I will outline the workflow for you. 1. Use use the Multi Resolution modifier on a base mesh head and scultpt to reference images 2. Use the Snapping feature in blender and extrude verts all along the completed high res sculpt following a good topology you can use the mirror modifier as well just make sure when you sculpted you used mirror on x axis to ensure your head is completely symetrical. 3. Once you created the retopologized head you can then add a subsurf mod to get the resolution you like. 4. If you are too lazy for doing your own retopology you could use ZRemesher with Zbrush
Coby Foden
There is excellent twelve part series on modelling complete female body by Jonathan Williamson. You will learn how to use reference images; you will learn how to make good topology. http://cgcookie.com/blender/cgc-courses/modeling-the-female-body-course/ This is one the best free tutorials you can find on body modelling for Blender.
