Mesh Maker in the works

So I'm taking tutorials on youtube for Blender.   My skills are still beginner but improving as I go.  So after some playing around I may want to get serious and make mesh clothing.  I see in some of the blender video's regarding clothing they use a "mannequin".  Where do I get this said "mannequin" and such?  Is it the skeleton I found on wiki, or is it another downloadable file?
