So I made a simple mesh house and uploaded it with a calculated LI of 1.5

mesh calc.PNG

Rezzed it and it showed a LI of 2 as expected.

Changed the Physics type  to Prim and it jumped to 7 ...

Why the difference from the LI calculated during the upload process, or is that number only the LI for convex hull?  If so then is there anyway to estimate the likely LI with the modeld set to Prim Physics type?

There's no way of estimating a triangle-based physics weight because it depends on the order of triangles and vertices in the collada file, in ways that defy comprehension (search here for "triangle weight episode" to see details, if you have a strong stomach). It is possible to calculate the weight for an Analyzed physics shape from the numbers of hulls and triangles (even though the calculation given in the wiki is wrong).

The weights are all now calculated by the server, which is why there is a delay when you click the button. The mesh details have to be (temporarily) uploaded for that. So I don't see any reason why the server shouldn't return the proper Prim type physics weight, whether that is triangle-based or Analyzed. Triangle-based weights depend on size, and thus on the Scale setting, but so does the download weight. So that should be no problem. Requests for this feature were made a long time ago. It would be particularly valuable for optimising triangle-based weights.
