Arken Soothsayer Posted January 13, 2015 Share Posted January 13, 2015 When uploaded, SL thinks the left arm and feet faces are the same thing. What am I doing wrong? If I select the left arm face and texture it, then select the feet face and texture it, in that order, it's fine. Until I pick it up. Then, the feet will show the left arm texture. Drongle McMahon Posted January 13, 2015 Share Posted January 13, 2015 How many triangles do you have in each material/slface? It look like far too many. There are some texturing artefacts that happen if you have more than 21844 triangles (10922 quads) in a single material, including the sort of thing you describe. The mesh you show will place an excessive load on the GPU of anyone looking at it. Why do you have so many polygons? If you have used subdivision to smooth the surface, you should be using smooth shading instead. Then the triangle count can be drastically reduced without degrading the appearance. That will avoid the problems that arise with too many triangles as well as making the mesh much less GPU resource hungry. Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...
